Randy O. Williams Author of 'America's Game: The NFL at 100' Book Signing

Randy O. Williams, author of America's Game: The NFL at 100 will be at Barnes & Noble for a book signing on Saturday, October 26th.

In AMERICA’S GAME: The NFL at 100, Jerry Rice and Randy O. Williams—who last collaborated in 2015 on the New York Times bestseller 50 Years, 50 Moments: The Most Unforgettable Plays in Super Bowl History—come together again to celebrate the first hundred years of the National Football League.

Over the past century, professional football has transformed from a game played in leather helmets on cow pastures to one of the most high-tech, popular sports on the planet. Filled with inside stories of the league’s fiercest rivalries, closest competitions, and most memorable characters, AMERICA’S GAME blends Rice’s long-standing, insider knowledge with Williams’ extensive interviews and interactions with some of the league’s most influential players, coaches, broadcasters, and journalists.

Divided into four quarters, each covering twenty-five years, the result is an entertaining, must-have collection of the very best of the game America—and the world—has loved for the past century.

A Hall of Famer and three-time Super Bowl champion, Jerry Rice is regarded as the best wide receiver to ever play in the NFL. During a fifteen-year career with the San Francisco 49ers, Rice teamed with Hall of Fame quarterbacks Steve Young and Joe Montana to win three Super Bowl championships (1988, 1989 and 1994) and was named the Super Bowl MVP in 1989. He was elected into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2006 and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2010.

Randy O. Williams has written extensively on sports and entertainment for major publications such as Sports Illustrated, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, NFL.com and ESPN.com.
