The 2020 Minor League Baseball Season Has Been Officially Cancelled

One of the things I enjoy the most about summer is spending an evening at Hammons Field with my family. We have missed being at the ball park cheering on our team, eating hot dogs and cotton candy, and making memories. Unfortunately the 2020 Minor League season has been officially cancelled. Click here to read the official press release from the league. The Springfield Cardinals will be working directly with RED Access members on options for their memberships. Regular season tickets had not gone on sale prior to the postponement. The good news in all of this is that Springfield and Hammons Field have been chosen as the location for the St. Louis Cardinals Taxi Squad during the shortened 2020 Major League Season. The Taxi Squad will give the St. Louis Cardinals a group of reserved players who could potentially be called up by the big birds as needed in their pursuit of the 2020 World Series Championship. I'm personally excited to find out more about this as details unfold!

In the meantime, give a shout out to our Springfield Cardinals team! Let them know we will be there cheering them on in 2021. You can also show your support at the Bleed Red Blood Drive, July 6th - July 10th at the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks Springfield Donor Center on Campbell and Plainview Rd. Donors will receive a Bleed Red T-Shirt featuring the Springfield Cardinals logo plus 2 tickets to a 2021 Springfield Cardinals game, a free Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Biscuit voucher from Hardee's and a $5 gift card redeemable at CBCO's online store. This is a great way to support our community and show love for our Springfield Cardinals! Click here for details.
