I'm not going to lie. Today has been hard. Trying to work from home, keeping the kids on track with their schooling from home, staying focused, staying positive, being productive, not letting this constantly nagging anxiety get the best of me. I'm trying to remind myself that while I feel alone and isolated, everyone else is feeling the same way. Social media has helped me feel like I'm staying in touch with the world. But I can't get out of my own head about it all, especially my expectations about how things should be and my fear of the unknown and what will become. Several of my friends shared an article on Facebook that honestly helped me adjust my perspective on coping during a crisis. Click here for the full article. The author mentions 3 stages: Security, The Mental Shift, and Embrace a New Normal. I thought it was a good way to break down the process we are going through. I hope this helps you too! Stay well.
