Leading the Way: Brandy Harris

Brandy Harris (34) is the Chief Executive Officer for Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield in Springfield, Missouri. Harris began her professional career in 2008 as a high school teacher at her Alma Mater-Hillcrest High School in Springfield. Harris has been involved in the Boys & Girls Clubs movement since 2011. She started in Lawrence, Kansas, serving in a number of roles, both on the front-line and leadership level. Then, she moved back to Springfield and assumed a role as Program Director in 2013 at the Henderson Unit. She was then chosen as the Unit Director of the new Sertoma Unit. In 2017, while still running the Sertoma Unit, she was promoted to the Director of Programs for the organization after pitching the idea to Club leadership. She received her B.A. in Speech Communication from Drury University in 2008, and her Masters in Early Childhood Education and Family Development from Missouri State University in 2015.
